Wildchatter is now benefiting from a new anti spam measure on our social media web site. I run the new script on a regular basis and it checks content of blogs, articles etc against Google search results.

If the content is identical to other web sites in Google's index then the user profile is closed and their content is deleted.

It is just another step in the constant battle that genuine web sites have to do to deal with spammers unfortunately. This system will not impact on genuine users or postings. It will only impact on users who post the same content all over the internet.

I hope this system will ensure that we can provide a unique and informative social media site for people interested in wildlife and nature.
